What I do
Long-term care planning, explained plainly.
I help you understand your options, compare policies, and make a decision you feel good about — with no pressure and no jargon.
One independent advisor. Every major carrier.
I'm not captive to any single insurance company. That means I can shop the market on your behalf and show you side-by-side comparisons from the carriers that actually make sense for your situation.
Whether you're just starting to think about long-term care or you've already gotten a quote somewhere and want a second opinion, I'm here to help you sort through it honestly.
Types of coverage I work with
Traditional Long-Term Care Insurance
The most straightforward option. You pay a monthly premium and receive a daily or monthly benefit if you ever need care — at home, in assisted living, or in a nursing facility. Best for people who want dedicated coverage at the lowest cost per dollar of benefit.
Hybrid Life / LTC Policies
A life insurance policy with a long-term care rider attached. If you need care, the policy pays for it. If you never need care, your heirs receive a death benefit. A popular choice for people who don't like the idea of "use it or lose it" premiums.
Asset-Based / Annuity LTC
You make a single lump-sum deposit into an annuity that can be leveraged for long-term care benefits — often two to three times the deposit amount. A good fit for people with savings they want to reposition rather than pay ongoing premiums.
Annuity Review
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 introduced tax-free LTC benefits from qualified riders, allowed nontaxable cash value charges for LTC coverage, and enabled tax-free 1035 exchanges into LTC contracts. Does your annuity allow you to access the gain tax free for LTC? Probably not, and most likely not if purchased prior to 2006.
Life Insurance with Chronic Illness Riders
Many life insurance policies now include riders that allow you to access the death benefit early if you're diagnosed with a chronic illness. Not a replacement for dedicated LTC coverage, but worth understanding as part of your overall plan.
Medicare Supplement Planning
Medicare covers very little long-term care. I help clients understand exactly what Medicare does and doesn't pay for, so there are no surprises — and so your LTC plan fills the right gaps.
How a conversation with me works
We talk about your situation
No forms, no sales pitch. Just a conversation about your health, your family, your finances, and what you're hoping to protect.
I do the shopping for you
I run quotes from multiple carriers and put together a clear comparison — what each policy covers, what it costs, and what the trade-offs are.
You decide, on your timeline
I'll answer every question you have. When you're ready to move forward, I'll handle the paperwork. If you're not ready, that's fine too.
Not sure which type of coverage is right for you?
That's exactly what the first conversation is for. It's free, it's low-key, and you'll leave knowing more than when you started.
